AI and Me

I've been working on improving my skills with programming and making sure I'm prepped for my career change, but one avenue I've only dabbled in a bit was AI. I use ChatGPT to help me with some problems like with my HomeLab or with figuring out ways to find information quicker, but I've been hearing a lot of things about Claude Code and how much better its model is than ChatGPTs. I decided to do some digging and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the responses that Claude can give versus ChatGPT. Of course, no AI is perfect, but it's interesting how it parses out the information it provides to you. I think as far as my brain is concerned, it helps a lot with being able to understand new concepts. I've also been figuring out what kind of problems Claude can solve thanks to its skills and connections and while ChatGPT has some, I don't think it stands up to Claude in most ways.

I think the privacy idea is always a factor when it comes to AI tools as it's something that is always at the forefront of people's mind when it comes to sending data anywhere, and it's interesting how the topic of Privacy has been more and more on people's minds these days. I think that AI is a pretty wonderful tool, however I'm of the opinion that we need to implement guardrails around the technology now before it gets out of hand (well even more so out of hand). What that looks like long term I'm not sure but it reminds me of the early days of the internet when it was new and it was exciting like AI. I think if we knew then what the internet would become we'd have worked a bit faster to implement the guardrails on the Internet that we so desperately needed then.
